One number puzzle a day, the same grid for everyone, in three difficulties carved from the same solution. Every puzzle is verified to have exactly one answer before it ships. Everything you enter stays on your device.
Sumline stores your puzzle progress, streak and statistics on your device, inside the app's own storage area. That data is not accessible to other apps, is included in your device backups if you back up your device, and is deleted when you delete the app.
Your preferences — units, currency and similar settings — are stored the same way.
Sumline is free and is paid for by advertising, supplied by Google AdMob. To show ads, the advertising provider may collect and process technical information such as your device's advertising identifier, device type, operating system version, coarse location derived from your IP address, and how you interacted with an ad.
This is handled by Google, not by us. We never receive that information about you individually — we see only aggregate revenue and performance figures.
How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our servicesThe first time it becomes relevant, the app explains what tracking means and then asks whether Sumline may use your device's advertising identifier. You can say no. If you do, the app works exactly the same and you will see the same number of ads — they will simply be less relevant.
You can change your mind at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on your device.
Buying the ad-removal purchase stops all advertising in the app, and with it all data collection by the advertising provider.
In-app purchases are handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details. Apple tells the app only whether a purchase is active.
Sumline is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Because we hold no personal information about you, there is nothing for us to export, correct or delete. To remove everything the app has stored, delete the app from your device.
For data held by the advertising provider, see Google's policy linked above.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date. Material changes will also be described in the app's release notes.
