Who it's for
Founders and businesses who want a real iPhone app in customers' hands quickly, to test an idea, win a pilot or show investors.
What you get: A native iPhone app submitted to the App Store, with the code, accounts and documentation in your name.
What's included
- A one-week scoping and design sprint that agrees the core user journey and what waits for version two.
- Native Swift and SwiftUI, the same stack we use for our own apps.
- A TestFlight build every week, so you try the real app as it grows.
- Subscriptions or in-app purchases with StoreKit 2, if the app sells anything.
- Privacy label, privacy policy text and permission prompts written to pass App Review.
- App Store listing, screenshots and submission, and handling of any questions from App Review.
- The source code, App Store Connect access and a handover document, all in your name.
Not included
- An Android app. We can build one afterwards, or quote a Flutter or React Native version instead.
- Large back-end systems. A simple back end fits; anything bigger is quoted before we start.
- Apple's Developer Program fee, paid by you to Apple so the account is yours.
What each budget buys
From £12,000; most MVPs land between £15,000 and £20,000. Three honest examples of scope, so you can place your own idea before we talk. 50% deposit to book, balance on launch; monthly plans billed in advance.
About £12,000
One job, done well
One core user journey on iPhone: sign in with Apple, the main task, a results or history screen, settings and a paywall. Local data on the device, no custom back end. App Store listing and submission included.
About £25,000
Accounts, sync and a simple back end
Everything in the first tier, plus accounts with email sign-in, data synced through a managed back end, push notifications, a second journey such as sharing or booking, and iPad support.
About £40,000
A product with an operation behind it
Several user journeys, payments with receipts, a web dashboard for your team, integrations with your existing systems (CRM, booking or accounting), analytics with consent, and a phased release plan.
How it runs
- Week 1Scope and design: the core journey, screens and what's out of scope, signed off by you. The scope sets the price and whether the build takes 6 or 10 weeks.
- Weeks 2 to 8Build, with a TestFlight build each week and a short call to review it.
- Final 1 to 2 weeksPolish, App Store listing and submission. Review usually takes a day or two, but timing is Apple's call.
Why trust us with it
We built our own iPhone and iPad app, Cuefold, natively in Swift 6 and SwiftUI with on-device speech recognition and StoreKit 2 subscriptions. It went from first commit to the App Store in 11 days.

Questions we get asked
An iPhone app with one core user journey done well: for example sign-up, the main task, results or history, settings, and a paywall if needed, with data kept on the device. Most MVPs land between £15,000 and £20,000 once accounts, sync or a back end come in. We agree the exact scope in week one, before the build starts, so the price is fixed for that scope.
For an iPhone-first product, native gives the best performance, the newest Apple features on day one and the most familiar feel for iPhone users. If you need Android at the same time, we'll recommend Flutter or React Native and quote that instead.
Yes: the listing, screenshots, privacy label, review notes and submission, and replying to App Review if Apple has questions. Approval is Apple's decision, but we design the app to meet the guidelines from the start.
You do. The app is published under your own Apple Developer account and the source code is handed over in full.
Most clients move onto App care at £450 a month: each year's iOS update, App Review changes, crash fixes and 4 hours of changes. Or take the code to any team: it's yours. We'll suggest what to build next based on how people use the first release.
