What's included

- Google Play Billing for subscriptions or in-app purchases, if the app sells anything.
- The data safety form, privacy policy text and permission prompts written to pass Play's policy review.
- Play Console set up in your name, the store listing and screenshots, closed testing if your account needs it, and the production release.
- The source code, Play Console access and a handover document, all in your name.
Not included
- An iPhone app. We can build one afterwards, or quote a Flutter, React Native or Kotlin Multiplatform version if you need both from the start.
- Large back-end systems. A simple back end fits; anything bigger is quoted before we start.
- Google's one-time Play Console registration fee, paid by you to Google so the account is yours.

- Weeks 2 to 8Build, with an Android build to install each week and a short call to review it.

Questions we get asked
An Android app with one core user journey done well: for example sign-in, the main task, results or history, settings, and a paywall if needed, with data kept on the device. Accounts, sync or a back end move it up the range. We agree the exact scope in week one, before the build starts, so the price is fixed for that scope.
For an Android-first product, native gives the best performance, Google's newest features on day one and the most familiar feel for Android users. If you need iPhone at the same time, we'll recommend Flutter, React Native or Kotlin Multiplatform and quote that instead.
Yes: the Play Console set-up, listing, screenshots, data safety form, content rating and release, and dealing with Google if the policy review raises questions. Approval is Google's decision, but we build to Play's policies from the start.
Personal Play Console accounts created after 13 November 2023 must run a closed test with at least 12 testers opted in for 14 days before they can apply to publish. Organisation accounts don't have this requirement. We tell you in week one which applies and plan for it.
A 50% deposit to book the start date and the balance on launch. Prices exclude VAT.
Most clients move onto App care at £450 a month: each year's Android SDK update, Play policy changes, crash fixes and 4 hours of changes. Or take the code to any team: it's yours.
