Who it's for
Businesses with a live iPhone app whose customers keep asking for Android, who want the second platform without paying for the first one again.
What you get: An Android app on Google Play that matches your iPhone app, with the code and the Play Console account in your name.
What's included
- A review of the iPhone app and its back end in week one: what carries over, what has to be rebuilt and what Google does differently.
- The interface rebuilt in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose from your existing design, adjusted where Android users expect different patterns.
- The same back end and API as the iPhone app, so both versions stay in step.
- Apple-only pieces swapped for their Google equivalents: Play Billing for StoreKit, Google sign-in for Sign in with Apple, Firebase Cloud Messaging for push, the Android Keystore for Keychain.
- Testing on a range of real phones and screen sizes, not one handset.
- Play Console set up in your name, the store listing and screenshots, the data safety form, closed testing if your account needs it, and the application for production access.
- A build you can install every week from week two, and the source code and a handover document at the end.
Not included
- New features. This offer brings Android level with the iPhone app as it is today; anything new is quoted first and can be built for both platforms afterwards.
- Back-end changes beyond what Android needs. If your back end only speaks to Apple services, we tell you what has to change before we start.
- Google's one-time Play Console registration fee, paid by you so the account is yours, and the two-week closed test Google requires of new personal accounts.
- Apps already built in Flutter or React Native. Adding Android to those is a much smaller job, and we quote it separately.
How it runs
- Week 1Review of the iPhone app, the back end and your Play Console account. You get a written list of what carries over and what is rebuilt.
- Weeks 2 to 6Build, with an Android build to install each week and a short call to review it.
- Weeks 7 to 8Polish, device testing, Play listing and submission. Google's review usually takes hours to a few days, but timing is Google's call.
Why trust us with it
We have not yet shipped a client Android app we can point you to, and we would rather say so. What you can check is how we build and launch apps: our own iOS apps on the App Store, built and published by us, with weekly builds, store submission handled and the code in the client's name. The same process runs here.

Questions we get asked
Because the thinking is done. The design, the back end, the API and every product decision already exist. What we pay for is rebuilding the interface, because SwiftUI doesn't run on Android, and replacing the Apple-only parts with Google's: billing, sign-in, push notifications and secure storage.
All of the interface, since SwiftUI code can't be reused. Any feature built on an Apple framework, such as StoreKit subscriptions, Sign in with Apple, Apple push, HealthKit, or on-device machine learning, is rebuilt on the Android equivalent, and a few, like iMessage or Apple Watch features, have no equivalent. The week-one review puts every feature in one of those groups before you commit.
No, and that's good news: Android is already most of the way there. It needs Android configuration, testing on real devices, any platform-specific fixes and the Google Play set-up. We quote that as the smaller job it is.
A Play Console account in your name, with a one-time registration fee and identity verification. For a business we recommend an organisation account, which needs a D-U-N-S number. New personal accounts must run a closed test with at least 12 testers for 14 days before they can publish, so if that applies we plan it into the timeline. We prepare the listing, screenshots and data safety form and handle the submission.
A 50% deposit to book the start date and the balance on launch. Prices exclude VAT.
App care can cover the iOS and Android versions of one app together at £750 a month: each year's iOS and Android SDK update, App Review and Play policy changes, crash fixes, store listing upkeep and 4 hours of changes. Or take the code to any team: it's yours.
