London, worked remotely

App developers in London

We're registered in London and work remotely with businesses across the city: native iPhone and Android apps, websites, and fixing or taking over apps that are already live. Fixed prices, a client portal from day one, and no office visits needed.

We reply within one working day.

Local context

Building for London's regulators and buyers

The Financial Conduct Authority's head office is at Endeavour Square in Stratford, and its Innovation Hub supports firms launching new financial products, including a Regulatory Sandbox and a Digital Sandbox of synthetic data. [1][2]

The Bank of England sits on Threadneedle Street in the City, and the Government Digital Service, which describes itself as the digital centre of government, is based in Whitechapel. [3][4]

What that means for your app

If you are a London fintech or a firm regulated by the FCA, the app is part of what the regulator looks at: strong customer authentication, how you show fees, what you record and for how long. We scope those requirements first and write them into the proposal, rather than discovering them in testing.

If you sell to the public sector, expect questions about accessibility and data handling before price. We put both in the proposal from the start: screen reader and large-text support, personal data kept out of logs and analytics, and a written note of where every piece of data goes, which is what a buyer's due diligence asks for.

How we work with London businesses

We work remotely, with every client, wherever they are. The first conversation is a 20-minute call by phone or video. After that you get your own client portal from day one: milestones to approve, requests with response targets, documents, invoices and a written monthly report on a plan.

We don't have an office in any city on these pages. Our only address is our registered office in London, which takes post and is not somewhere to meet. We don't hold in-person meetings as standard. If a workshop in the room matters to your project, say so on the first call and we'll tell you honestly whether we can do it before you commit to anything.

Working hours are London time, Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:30. Contracts are fixed-scope and fixed-price, governed by the law of England and Wales.

Fixed prices

The same prices for London as everywhere else, agreed before we start. Prices exclude VAT.

Questions we get asked

No, and we'd rather say so up front. Our registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street handles post and company records; it isn't a studio. We work remotely with London clients exactly as we do with everyone else: calls, test builds on your phone and the client portal.
